At Ace's Pilot Shop, we believe that customers like you deserve to be treated with the utmost respect. And that includes respecting your right to privacy. Here’s how we do that.

Data Collection and Storage
We’ve designed and structured our entire site so that you can visit and browse without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. The only way for us to obtain any personal information about you at all is for you to tell us yourself.

For example, when you place an order or ask us for information, we may store your name, address and telephone number and/or email address on our secure server. Any information that is not needed immediately to process your order or request is transferred to our secure, offline database which cannot be accessed from the Internet. You credit card number will be deleted automatically from our secure servers 31 days after you order. To comply with tax laws, we may keep a printed copy of your order on file in our Accounting Department.

Your Email Address
Your email address may be automatically added to our internal database whenever you:
1. Place an order.
2. Request our print catalog.
3. Subscribe to our mailing list.
4. Request additional information by email.
5. Request our "Hot Deals" price list.
6. Subscribe to our newsletter.
7. Register for a contest.

Cookies
Like most online merchants, our website uses “cookies” to enhance your online shopping experience. Cookies are just little packages of data that our server sends to your computer. They cannot tell us anything about you or your computer and no other website or server except ours can access the cookies we send.

Cookies simply allow us to track the contents of your shopping cart and personalize our site content. Without them, you’d have to write down each item you wanted to buy and then type the information into a manual form to complete your order. What a hassle! Thanks to cookies, shopping is quick and easy. You can browse all our product pages, just click on the items you want to add to your cart and our system will store them until you’re ready to check out. And, when you come back to shop the next time, you won’t have to re-enter your name and address info again – the cookies remember it for you, so that the checkout process is quick and convenient every time you shop. For your peace of mind though, we will ask you to re-enter your credit information every time you shop. We don’t permit our cookies to store this information. This also allows you to choose a different payment option, if you wish.

IP Address
Our server automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP Address and information about the page you have requested to view. This tells us which pages our customers are most interested in, and helps us tailor our site according to our customers’ wants and needs.

Public Forums and Chat Rooms
An important part of the online experience at Ace’s Pilot Shop includes the chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups we make available to all our customers. Please remember, though, that any information you may provide in these areas becomes public. We encourage you to exercise caution before disclosing any personal information.

From time to time, Ace's Pilot Shop might post an online survey or questionnaire. We will never sell, rent, give or otherwise disclose to any third party any information that you may provide to us without your knowledge or consent with the following exceptions: for shipping purposes (for instance, if a product is shipped directly from a manufacturer or supplier) or if we are legally obliged to surrender this information by a subpoena or court order as part of an investigation into possible criminal activity. Also, in the event that Ace's Pilot Shop is sold, our customer database may be transferred as a requirement of the sale.

How to Change Your Information or Opt Out

At Ace’s Pilot Shop, we’re committed to a “No Spam” policy. Whenever you receive any message from us, it will contain clear, simple instructions for having your name and information permanently removed from our lists.

Please note: For tax and legal purposes, we are not allowed to destroy paper records of orders placed with us. However, we will comply with ALL requests to remove your information from our email and print mailing lists.

Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to amend this policy as needed. But we’ll never change our Information Non-Disclosure Guarantee. If we make any substantial changes in our use of your personal information or if we are required by law to share your data, we will notify you.
