The AC-4MS includes a 'Radio Intercom' control with two settings: (1) 'Radio' Mode with 'fail safe' feature isolates the pilot with the ATC, and (2) 'Intercom' Mode allows all headsets to share entertainment and conversation. Switches easily into "mono" setting for use with mono headsets.

Additional features include rugged construction (see AC-4X), an adjustable squelch control to prevent aircraft noise from activating the unit, pilot front panel push-to-talk button that is alsoa LED indicator for VOX activation, co-pilot transmit capability and a newly designed Y-Block connector for use with yoke-mounted PTT.
