Compact
Size With Superior Audio
Compared to previous portable air band transceivers, the IC-A22
truly is portable. However, the audio is not compromised-superior
audio output that's easy to hear even without a headset. Ergonomic
keypad design provides convenient access to all functions and
a rotary control allows quick and easy tuning of all frequency
and memory channels.
Alphanumeric
Display
The IC-A22's function display features alphanumeric characters
which allow you to store VOR ID's, airport ID's, etc. into memory
for easy recall and quick visual recognition.
Built-in
Sidetone Function
The sidetone function allows you to monitor your transmitted
audio while using a headset. An aircraft headset adapter is
supplied with the IC-A22 for this purpose as standard equipment.
Ergonomic
design
Well labeled and well spaced keys are easy to operate, even
while wearing gloves. The back mounted battery puts the weight
of the unit in your palm, allowing a comfortable grip. The wide
and large LCD lets you see every readout at a glance.
Easy
controls
Volume and channel selection can be controlled by the rotary
selector on the top panel. The 16 button key pad allows quick
tuning and function selection.
