When you purchase the AvMap EKP-IIIC GPS Charting System, you’ll get Jeppesen® Navdata and NOAA obstruction data supplied by a C-MAPNT C-card. The “Americas” unit ships with the North Central and South American database, but optional C-cards are available for worldwide coverage. Likewise, land cartography for the Americas is preprogrammed into the unit but additional street, lake and river detail can be obtained from C-MAP Aviation’s regional terrestrial library to complement and enhance the internal data.

The system boasts an airspace/arrival/XTE alarm as well as other indispensable, time-saving features such as “direct to” navigation, nearest search, projected course line and an option to display “north up” or “track up”. You can store up to 10 different routes of 100 waypoints each plus 1000 user marks with 16 symbols. There’s even a VNAV, wind and fuel calculator plus checklist mode. Auto zoom, HSl display and simulator mode round out the convenient features you’ll enjoy and use often.
