Thomas P. Turner (Cleveland, TN) is the author of Weather Patterns
& Phenomena, 2nd Ed. and Cockpit Resource Management, 2nd
Ed., both volumes in the McGraw-Hill Practical Flying Series.
He holds instructor ratings for instrument-, single-, and multiengine
airplanes. He has a masters degree in aviation safety,
is a contributing writer to over 30 aviation magazines, and
